Meno-Wars
When ADHD and menopause intersect, it can feel confusing and destabilising.
Many women reach perimenopause carrying years of undiagnosed or misunderstood neurodivergence. As hormones shift, coping strategies that once worked can begin to falter.
Co-authored with Chantelle Knight, Meno-Wars brings together lived experience, clinical insight and practical strategies designed for neurodivergent brains.
Writing this book shaped the work I now do with women navigating ADHD and autism in menopause.

This book shines a light on the unique challenges women face when ADHD intersects with hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause. It’s written with compassion and clarity, making me feel seen and understood in a way I never have before.

This is a very validating book that really helps to explain and make sense of the complex cross overs in women’s neuro-endocrine health. Unfortunately, our medical systems are way behind in understanding this – we need books like this from thought leaders to push forwards and demand more integrated research.

If you find yourself in perimenopause and ADHD, especially if you are only discovering this about yourself now, this is a great read. Part manual, part guide and part educator it has a great way of explaining what’s happening and what to look out for in clear terms. Thank you Sharon and Chantelle for all your hard work.

Meno Wars is an absolute gem. It strikes the perfect balance between being informative and genuinely enjoyable to read. Sharon and Chantelle have clearly put so much thought into not just the content, but also the presentation: the font and layout make it incredibly accessible, particularly for neurodiverse readers navigating the added challenges of menopause.

This was a brilliant read. Short, but impactful storytelling – moving at times, and very well written. I could relate to so much of it. At times, it was like the author was writing about me! This will help so many women to feel seen, validated and less alone with the grief that comes with a late diagnosis or a late “lightbulb moment”. I enjoyed every chapter and found the suggestions in the final chapter really helpful.

An inspiring story, honest and eye-opening, this book gently expanded my understanding and helped me see neurodiversity with more empathy and clarity.

A thought provoking insight into the obstacles faced in a world geared up for a certain way of behaving, thinking, learning and working. Everyone should understand that all brains work differently. I particularly resonated with struggles with the education system! Lovely to hear such a positive message coming though.
